Product Description

Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL)

Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GLCs) are high-performance needle-punched environmental reinforced composites which combine two durable geotextile outer layers with a uniform core of natural sodium bentonite clay to form a hydraulic barrier. Geosynthetic clay liner is often mechanically held together by needling, stitching, or chemical adhesives.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL)?
GCL is a high-performance hydraulic barrier consisting of a layer of natural sodium bentonite clay sandwiched between two layers of geotextiles, needle-punched together for structural integrity.
How does GCL compare to traditional clay liners?
GCLs offer superior hydraulic performance, are easier and faster to install, and take up significantly less space while providing equivalent or better permeability resistance.
What is the swelling index of the bentonite used?
The natural sodium bentonite used in our GCL has a swelling index of ≥24 ml/2g, ensuring excellent sealing capabilities when hydrated.
What are the typical applications for GCL?
GCL is widely used in landfill liners, capping, water reservoirs, pond liners, and other environmental containment projects to prevent liquid leakage.
Is GCL resistant to punctures?
Yes, the reinforced geotextile layers provide high tensile strength and puncture resistance, making it durable for heavy-duty engineering environments.
How is GCL delivered and packaged?
We provide professional and efficient packaging services, typically in rolls, ensuring the product remains dry and intact until it reaches the project site.
